Information reaching WAECDIRECT this morning from Guardian News is that the Benue State Government just like Akwa Ibom state Nigeria (during Gov. Godswill Akpabio tenure) has promised citizens to pay the WAEC fees of WAEC candidates in public secondary schools.
This is a very good news if you ask me. The important thing is for candidates to reciprocate by preparing well for WAEC exams in order to make good grades out of the WAEC 2017 result.
Update: How to WAEC Exams
According to the news update, the decision of paying WAEC fees by the Government of the state was taken to make public schools more attractive.
Inquiry: For inquiry, this is the list of WAEC Zonal Offices in Nigeria
The Commissioner revealed that 10, 000 primary and 6, 000 secondary school teachers have been retrained and Benue People’s Education project was established to raise fund for the development of the sector. He threatened to close all illegal schools and miracle centres to ensure access to quality education.
Responding, NUJ Chairman, Mr. Kris Atsaka, lamented the set back in the education sector over the years, urging the Commissioner to ensure that the lost glory of the sector was restored for the benefit of all.
Lastly: Don't forget to check WAEC rules and regulation of Exams in Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia, etc.
